John Yankura

I have taken several enjoyable Slovak classes with Božena. 

She is a gifted teacher.

Her classes are always informative but informal and fun. She is always well prepared and organized.  She is a native Slovak speaker and is also very fluent in English.  She is very patient in explaining complex Slovak grammar in English which is especially helpful for beginners. Her pleasant personality invites student participation.  She also is very informative about Slovak culture and her personal stories about her life in Slovakia before the Velvet Revolution are extremely interesting.  I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn about the Slovak culture and language.
