I have been a student of Božena's beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. Božena is a native speaker; that really helped. With the beginner classes, she taught us the correct pronunciations, vocabulary, Slovak history, Slovak culture and songs. Even my Slovak cousins in Bratislava and Kosice commented about my correct Slovak pronunciation.  Each week we were encouraged to construct at least 5 sentences with a certain theme in the Slovak language. Božena would correct them and discuss how we could improve them. She always shared great handouts and motivated us.
